The only times we ate Hot Crab Dip were when my sister would make them for a dinner party and occasionally at restaurants. The last one we had was the Hot Crab and Artichoke dip at Cheesecake Factory and it was delicious with the warm crusty bread! Recently, Bradley and girlfriend came home for the weekend unexpectedly. So I was not prepared and there was no real food to eat! With just the three of us at home and with Dean working late and eating out, sometimes, hubby and I just eat whatever. Of course, I felt bad and I asked Bradley what he would like me to cook. I would cook anything he would want me to cook! So he said what about a Hot Crab Dip which he had always wanted me to make but I was always too lazy. I searched for a great recipe on Yummly and found one from the ‘Brown Eyed Baker’ blog. The photo looked so appetizing that I thought it had to taste really good. And I decided to make it. Bradley and Darena bought all the ingredients the next day and as soon as we got home from the DC Cooking Show, I started preparing it while Chris prepared a big pot of Pho with fish balls, fish cakes etc. Yum! It didn’t take long to prepare the Dip and as soon as it came out of the oven, I toasted some bread slices and we all got to taste the famous Crab Dip. It was so good and so creamy!! You can eat it with bread or crackers. I am definitely making this one again although I have to say it’s an expensive recipe since the 16oz of lump crab meat required costs $28! Great for a special occasion!
Here’s the recipe and do check Brown Eyed Baker for more delicious recipes!
