One Friday night, hubby and I decided to do some groceries at Wegmans Supermarket. It has been a long time since I went there. I remember I used to do my groceries at Wegmans every Friday a few years back and I found their prices for their own brands very affordable. They have a great variety of produce, meats etc and most of all, I loved their Bakery Dept.

Anyway, we also had dinner there or rather we shared our food – a vegetarian slice of pizza, a hot sub and a Turkey chili. I loved the fact that all the food had their calories listed especially since I am now on a diet and have been keeping a food diary and counting my calories and carb. The Turkey chili was delicious and I decided I wanted to make some over the weekend. Actually, that Friday night, I decided to plan the menu for the week as I knew I was going to go to Costco, Walmart etc the next day. I wanted to buy a lot of healthy food stuff. The menu planning went really well, I got all my ingredients and cooked several of the dishes on Saturday and Sunday.

The Turkey chili recipe I used was very simple and quick to make. That’s what I like. We had it for dinner the other day and I topped the chili with grated cheese and chopped cilantro as well as a couple of multigrain tortilla chips. Oh, it was so good and a bowl was more than enough to fill me up, at least for me. Hubby had three bowls!

Sharing the recipe here….great dish for those cold winter days!
